To be eligible to set a Minnesota-Dakotas WSO record, an athlete must meet be a member of the Minnesota-Dakotas Weightlifting State Organization (WSO).

Records may be set at any of the following events:

  • USA Weightlifting National meets.
  • International meets (representing USAW).
  • Meets held within the Minnesota-Dakotas WSO.

Note: Records cannot be set at WSO-level meets held outside of the Minnesota-Dakotas WSO. In accordance with USAW and IWF policies, lifts performed in online competitions are not eligible for record consideration. Athletes can set records across multiple age groups. For example, a 15 year old athlete can simultaneously set records in the youth, junior, and senior age categories if their snatch, clean and jerk, and/or total exceed the current records. This is true for both state and state meet records. Masters athletes can do the same setting records in both the senior and masters categories simultaneously.
